Buju Banton - The Voice of Rasta Righteousness

0 komentar

It was the perfect Miami night, clear skies, gentle breezes and Reggae festival in the park. 16th Caribbean (formerly Marley) Festival Jammin 'along the bay and the downtown park was rammed. Located between Capleton and Ky-Mani is an expensive, show-stealing Buju Banton ignited the crowd with 60-minute set that left fans yelling "Go!" If you have not seen before Buju, or if you are on time, the presentation and professionalism will also clamoring for more. (See review of Fest)

I caught up with the 36-year-old Rasta lion after it was mind-blowing performance and congratulated him on an outstanding show. "It was my first Bob Marley Fest in Miami, and I wanted to do something different from ordinary, "he said smiling Buju, "I wanted to get out of the Dancehall bit and do something special." On stage he was wearing a casual gray with white trim, button-down sweater with a hole slick pants and fro 'shoes, his dreadlocks flying and skanking knees lifted up his chin, Buju was flawless performances artfully segued from dance hall to the Roots for lovers of Rock. Sometimes sounding like its icons Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, there have been moments where he sounded (and looked) like Lucky Dube. "I'm really and truly show these people that ... hey, I'm Buju Banton! When I mentioned that he gave all the people, he quickly interjected, "I show them all. I wanted to do a little more ... Ska, and more could be added, but true, my time was short."

Transmissions for 21 April 2009, published by Rasta Got Soul , his much anticipated CD, Gargamel is looking for a "thrill, educate and stimulate" their fans. Of course, this was achieved, Buju Banton toured Canada for two weeks in May, will be in Europe in June and July and return in the fall of exhibitions in the United States. bouncy, upbeat new single, "Sorry, a little" is available now. "This is Ska" Buju describes it, "the reality of a song that reaches consciousness and the heart and mind of everyone. ... And they know no one is beyond sorry." Buju love for Ska music is not something new. You will find a Ska song on his Inna Heights (1997) and friends in my life (2003 .)

No stranger to controversy, when asked his views on the current weakness in the debate Dancehall, Buju replied: "Music of the controversy? it is not justified. slackness in the music, just a detail in the music . 'He quickly added: "I did not get my popularity with the masses through the malaise. I worked hard on it good music. I made good music to play on the radio, and my music is air-worthy." More than just air-worthy, his 1995 'Til Shiloh and 2003 friends in my life were both nominated for Grammy reggae album. "This will also go, " Buju concludes, "that will have to go, because the music is a circle." For the rest of the article, visit

Creating the Perfect Pitch - Sound Advice by Airel Publicity

0 komentar

Branding yourself both online and offline will really set this coming year to break in her musical career.

To do this, you must start with the most fundamental aspect of you as an artist: Your Pitch

Two things happened recently to inspire this article.

Scenario # 1: I was at the Mercury Lounge seeing music and between bands I was standing at the bar talking to some friends and someone gave me the flyer. I was immediately taken with him, I always appreciate anyone who is self-promotion, because it is not easy to do, and it especially easy to do at a crowded bar on Wednesday night in downtown Manhattan. So, I looked down at the flyer and my heart sank. He said the following:

artist name (the name is not mentioned to protect the innocent)
Venue (which Mercury, where I was)
Date and Showtime

There I was, perfectly prepared potential fan, customer, standing at the bar, and live music show, and he is lost forever. Why?

Since it was not included in the one sentence about this genre of music artists played much less what his music sounded like, who he compared to the (sound etc.). In other words, what could I expect by coming on his show. In short I had no idea what it sounded like an artist.

This is an opportunity lost completely. Unbeknown to him was also handed a flyer one of the most successful entertainment lawyer I know who was in the middle of signing 6 artists to record deals, A & R executive and one of the best booking agents in the business.

We all looked down at the flyers in our hands, shrugged and continued with the conversation we were having. He was totally blown it.

Scenario # 2: Another thing that happened was an artist called my PR company to talk about us employment for Cyber PR campaign, and two minutes into the conversation started, my blood began to boil. It went something like this:

Me: What do you sound like

?

Author: I sound like nothing you've ever heard before

.

Me: (now annoyed and understand why he is not where he wants to be an artist) Really? So they invented a new genre of music and not sound like anyone else in the history of music?

Author: Yes

I: Can you at least say what kind of music you're playing

?

Artist: It'sis an old school hip -hop[ [/P >

the final OK, we were getting somewhere, and I totally understand his point, but here's the problem with his approach as:

People are constantly looking for context to put things in. And if you do not give them one, they will move to the next thing that their little pea brains can actually understand.

critical that is lacking in both scenarios: Pitch

So, you need a marketing pitch or call the USP (unique selling point), or, as my friend Bob Baker called him BIS (brand identity statement) or as my fellow mastermind group member Laura Allen calls it, a 15-second pitch. Call it what you want, this thing, my friend, will change the way you market yourself and your music and give to each context. It is extremely important to have a concise and easy to understand the pitch that will help you shape your brand. the rest of this article will help you to focus on creating perfet pitch.

It does not have to be lengthy to be effective, it is just to explain his sound in several words or sentences.

Here are some of my clients' land in order to jump start your brain:

Leftover Salmon - Cajun Polyethnic Slamgrass

John Taglieri! - If Vertical Horizon and Third Eye Blind got hit by a train

FIGO - Influenced by groups like Primal Scream, NIN, Misfits, Chemical Brothers, the Ramones, the band fuses intense raw live energy with pounding beats and samples

.

Devil Doll - Jessica Rabbit meets Joan Jett

.

Girls Do not Cry - all girl rock band featuring edgy guitar polished five-part vocals, retro synth sounds and dance grooves

.

Create Your Pitch

First, take a deep breath, clear your head and say that what you have to do is just like writing songs. You do not shoot the first thing that comes out (or at least I hope not, but that's a different conversation), it takes some grinding and some tweaking and possibly some cooperation.

Take a clean piece of paper and write down the following:

(I suggest writing this by hand with pen and paper instead of using the computer as different ideas flow through the pen)

1 to write the kind of genre you play. Roots, rock, reggae, folk, punk, jazz, AltCountry, Chillout etc. No more than two or three would actually be chosen at the end.

2 write down all the artists that other people say it sounds like.

3 Write a list of all the artists (or authors or famous people) who have influenced you.

4 Write down all the feelings and vibrations that you create or upload music to the

Using these elements as a guideline to help with a few words or sentences that amount to you.

Now, go to this fabulous website: 15secondpitch.com

This will help you structure and hone your pitch and it will be way too much! (This site is more of a personal site, but the pitch structure that provides very useful)

now to write on a blank note card or small piece of paper your mission. Read aloud standing before the mirror. Do you love it? If not, then do not use it. I once worked with a band who chose the term "Soul Rock" to describe their sound and after it was released countless times, they hated him, to make sure that this is something you can deal with the press over and over again , and something that you will not get enough. Now I stand before the mirror and practice speaking. Do you feel comfortable to say, or do you feel like a dork? If you feel like you're speaking your truth, will absolutely know, and it is pitch perfect for you.

are still not sure?

Read it on a bunch of friends and supporters and ask them to work on it with you!

Do not overthink. Keep it simple and as brief as you can.

, where it has to Place Your Pitch

Now you have it, your going to place at the following locations.

What do you do now own brands.

Online Branding:

1 on your web page, web-site (to the home page, not buried in the village).
2 On your MySpace.
3 on Facebook.
4 In all social networking sites you use and wherever you have an online presence.

Online Branding:

1 on the cards.
2 On your show flyers.
3 on the billboards, and everything else you have in print.

So, now when you're out there somewhere, and you hand someone a flyer announcing your show, you're handing someone your brand. People will know exactly what you do, it will be an effective marketing instead of just spinning your wheels.

not sure if you hit the nail on the head? E-mail me your pitches, and I'll give you my honest feedback.

Good luck!

to think about getting a tattoo design of chest signs in your body? In recent years, the chest has become a very popular place to get a tattoo done. However, this is not the easiest place to get a tattoo done. It can be painful and difficult for artists to design just right. That does not mean you should shy away from tattoo ribs, but that does not mean you should carefully consider what you want to get before jumping into it.
Rib Cage Tattoo Designs for Men

Other people get the idea crosses, dragons, swords, and even tribal designs.
Rib Cage Tattoo Designs for Women
Women of course have lots of choices too. Many are getting the text or words written in this area also. However, they are like longer texts such as songs or font with swirls to look more feminine. They usually select fonts with finer lines and more detail than by male design. However, there are many other options, such as flowers, cherry blossoms, Hawaiian hibiscus, and even swallowing or the old school of nautical stars.

Can a Half Naked Rasta Help Teach You to Speak Jamaican - A Movie Review of Countryman

0 komentar

Have you ever seen a half naked run at the speed of growth of cheetah? Well, after watching compatriot will see its first growth half naked run like cheetahs. Jamaican compatriot is a unique adventureof a mystical fisherman and growth that helps the American pair of shipwrecked in a plane crash . A couple end up in a countryman in a small fishing village in Jamaica. As would be expected, when the American pair lost in the wilderness of large-scale pursuit of Jamaica runs the U.S. government and the Jamaican police. In the tradition of Rastafari, a few well-received by fellow countrymen, but his peace and way of life threatened by the police and greedy farmers. Despite an intense manhunt, a compatriot in the control of the situation throughout the movie and displays Babylon (the police) the spirit and power of Rastafari.
In addition, I see half naked move to increase the speed of lightening, a countryman standout film in the collection of Jamaican films. This film is not really about Ganja, "Gangstas" or rise out of poverty. This film is truly in the spirit of Rastafari and the growing resistance. Countryman was a quiet man who lives on the country and indeed in contact with the ground, but it is much more powerful than a fisherman smoking ganja! Compatriot is a hero, a couple who is saved after the plane crashed, enjoying time with his compatriot. This film is more than some of the growth that helps some Americans, this movie is the essence of Rastafari. Countryman exhibits one of the key aspects of the Rasta such as peace, connection with earth, Ital diet and a natural mystic.
Now, if you watch movies to learn Jamaican Jamaican Language (Jamaican slang), it is not the best film in the film collection of Jamaica. As mentioned, this film is really for the true fan of Rastafari.
In the spirit of Rastafari throughout the film, the music is classic. soundtrack is worth getting into the movie because the film packs big reggae heat. Most artists reggae legends like Bob Marley and The Wailers, Toots and the Maytals, Steel Pulse, and several others. Only these three groups are worth picking up the film and soundtrack. Everyone loves Bob Marley and Steel Pulse nothing shabby either.
So I recommend this movie? Yah Mon! Pick up compatriot enjoy classic reggae and witness the true spirit of Jah Rastafari.

Selling Survival: The Evolution of the Entrepreneurial Paradigm and Where to Look for Opportunities

0 komentar

Experts say that there are societal trends in play that are precipitating a return to pre-industrial era ways of survival. In the face of changing economic realities and illusions, many people are questioning the ways in which currently make up the money and seek an alternative means of income. But instead of simply getting another job, or open a fast-food franchise, many are instead asking, "What am I good at?" "What is my passion ?"
Present trends indicate an ever move back to the way things are. At the very least, as the economic landscape becomes uncertain, people need to look at options to increase their revenue streams. It May be the only way to survive.
However, there is a new consciousness developing among those who are looking to flex their entrepreneurial muscles. The question this time is: What business does it make sense to start in these times of global change
?
set the foundation for my answer, I'd like to introduce the concept with which you're probably already familiar with. The term is a "catalyst". As May you remember from high school chemistry class, the catalyst is a substance that ignites, sets in motion, or speed up the reaction without being affected. In life, as well, each experience is a potential catalyst. Your tires, an argument with your spouse, your dissatisfaction with the job - these are all potential catalysts. Because of free will inherent in our experience here on the planet (we have the freedom to choose our responses), reaction catalyst can spark a totally under your control.
PURPOSE catalyst
All catalysts are designed to offer a challenge or a lesson.
There are only two possible paths can be chosen in response to a catalyst: It can be accepted or can be controlled. The path you choose will be determined by your preference. If you are directed to the service for yourself (your own comfort), which will create a set of choices. If you are directed to serving others, you will see and choose from different set of choices.
When faced with a catalyst, it is important to understand that we are here to evolve in the direction of our orientation, and without the catalyst life, the desire to develop and faith in the process not normally seen and thus the development does not occur. So, do not rail against the changes and situations. Accept them as a natural part of the experience is designed to help you grow.
Life is really so simple. Things happen. You choose your answer based on your preference. You can develop in the direction of your choice.
When the selected or modified, the catalyst fails in its design, and you proceed through life until some other catalyst that causes you to appear again, select the acceptance and love, or the separation and control.
To predict the future
This is the fundamental law of this dynamic, ever-changing universe there is no such thing as something "staying the same." Things are either expanding or contracting, increasing or decreasing, getting better or worse. Even the metal or hard plastic computer or a piece of paper on which you are reading these words, as solid and stable as it seems everything is slowly decaying and deteriorating. Come back in a few decades ago, and you'll see the effect of decay over time. If you know this, then you can look at everything from business to the emergence of romantic relationships a little differently, and can perform what some might consider fortune-telling simply ask: "Where is this title ?"
Every business, every situation, every relationship, it's getting better, or worse, growing or shrinking, going up or heading downhill. Therefore, as long as you can honestly assess what you observe or experience in a certain time frame, you can "predict" where something is and take the title ambiguous or corrective action as necessary.
Now Having said that, let's examine some observable facts and trends that are occurring now and catalysts that will affect the future, and that we have a choice of responses. 1st The country is going through changes. Global warming is a reality. Changes in temperature affect the access to water, arable land and other resources for a growing segment of the population. These and other physical, climatic and cataclysmic changes are visible.
2 "Peak Oil" is a reality. The term "peak oil " refers to the peak in global oil production. amount of oil available on the planet is finite. There is a point in the production of oil within an oil field or the entire planet, when the maximum is reached. After the maximum rate of production is reached, the rate of oil production (as well as the profitability of extracting it) on Earth will enter terminal decline. It is a challenge that, while the bid declining, demand for oil (and plastics, electricity, etc., which are oil-dependent), and continues to grow as population and industrialization continue to grow. It said that U.S. oil production peak in 1970. World oil production, it said some, was in 2005. After peak, production slows, profits fall and prices rise. You can already see the effects of gas prices as a start of creep up.
3 Corporate downsizing continues more and more companies are outsourcing, downsizing and offshoring in an effort to reduce costs. Companies, especially public companies are obliged by their charters and by law to seek first the profitability of its shareholders. That is why the decisions these companies often make it less humanitarian and more profit-inspired. This is because they must be.
4 Global power is shifting the focus of China and India growing economic force. They are a source of labor, consumers, and increased oil and energy. Companies around the world in Europe (Romania and Poland most recently made the news) and the U.S., workers are imported from China, or outsourcing of skilled jobs in India.
do not sleep
As a potential entrepreneur, in fact as a nation, it is possible to predict, anticipate, and prepare a place for themselves the effects of these trends. Do not wait for mainstream news programs to prove it. Do not expect politicians to make it part of their plans on time. They operate from different agenda. Those who want to rule the world by nature, unlike those in the world looking to the government.
THE CHALLENGE
As I said, there was always an hour or challenge.
In the context of these trends, economic conditions, and therefore, your unique situation is the catalyst that provides an opportunity for you to answer in looking for a lesson or challenge.
as well as potential entrepreneurs, if you decide to rise to the challenge, using what we know about predicting the future, becomes the first question: What will happen as these trends continue and catalysts? And then more importantly, what we do in response to these events? Where should I look for an opportunity? What business would you start? And finally which business path offers the most opportunities to serve others?
Now there are those who will ask "which way offers the most profit?", but it is a service-to-self orientation. We need a new paradigm. I propose, as a motivational speaker Zig Ziglar is credited says that, if you help enough people get what they want, you automatically get what you want
.
my thoughts on the upcoming changes
There is another important trend that I believe it is important to factor in this equation, and it is this: the continued growth in which the current economic model is based can not be sustained indefinitely. Infinite growth based on finite resources is unsustainable. Growth is based on the exploitation of others is unethical and unsustainable.
Yes, China and India are both ideal sources of labor, as well as the next great frontier for consumerism. The rest of the world industrialized, market-driven, capitalist, consumer-oriented companies and entrepreneurs to know, and rushing to the site.
However, the gold watch-sporting, cola-drinking, junk food-eating, luxury cars, driving, soap-watching, video game-playing style of life in which these companies rely on the support of his spiritually vapid, environmentally depleting mindless and products, while exploiting the poor as a source of labor, the inevitable decline. Global awareness of serious nature is actually on the rise (it is simply not reported).
So, if as a result, you see, as I do, the potential impact of the entire economic system to which this model hinges, then you might agree that basing a new industry or business idea on such shifting sands, while perpetuating the soon-be outdated business model that divides and destroys the family structure, captured by the community, and perpetuate the debt bondage is not a desirable course. So, here is a challenge in a nutshell. current model is unsustainable. We need to survive. However, our survival is based on the purchase of the definition of success, which restores a model that threatens our survival. What then should be our best course of action?
Ethical Paradox sales SURVIVAL
How to survive in an economic system that is yours and threatening its survival. Answer: You sell survival. That's right, the game is changing for the survival of one sale.
Now the others know are mobilizing to prepare to offer their solutions. But what they offer will be real solutions. They will offer products, services and paradigm that restores their control and their individual survival. In some parts of the world, companies are already charging people for access to clean water, and some are selling the seeds that were genetically altered to produce a generation of crops forcing farmers into a cycle of having to buy new seeds every season just to survive.
But how to survive in good conscience by profiting from what others need to survive. Herein lies the paradox of selling survival.
But this kind of response is not the best option. Sell modify seed or pure water did not survive I want to sell. If I were running a business, I would follow the experts who predict that these trends will benefit the business model:
1 We anticipate the arrival of global changes in social interaction and lifestyle (ie tribal living in larger social families themselves, those who participate in more efficient means of power generation, getting food, and supports the common welfare)
2 offer people a means of survival due to "peak oil " phenomenon (ie, alternative sources of fuel, electricity capacity, solar, wind, insulation technology)
3 use technology in a way to empower and free advantage of the manual labor that keeps them on the lower rungs of the totem pole
Why not start your own brainstorm session to come up some unique business ideas based on the suggestions above?
Would not it be nice to jump ahead of the curve and start a business or join the industry, or launch new business ideas that helps most people, preparing for the coming earth changes, reinforces rather than exploits the labor pool, decreasing reliance on fewer sources Energy, offers consumers real alternatives, while at the same time offering the world a new paradigm and consciousness as it relates to the survivability, sustainability, adding our voice and actions for a change in consciousness and the alternative paradigm that our very survival requires?
Yep, it would be pretty cool. And this is what I would do if you are starting a business.

Lead singer Steven writes the lyrics for the group, and his brother Tony-Ray along with the band produces all their music. This is one of his popular songs ang entitled "DARK ANGLE" please refer to the lyrics

Dark angel
Descending from the sky
Come to darken I night
She wiped away the years I cried
Which way does this angel...

Stride, yea now
I was in a rampage
Dwell in my lonesome
Talking to the ears of no one
Dwell in deep depression
Sad. In desperate need of someone
Building up mental sufferation
Asking for deliverance of just one girl
One to come cross my path and proceed on my road

Dark angel
Descending from the sky
Come to darken I night
She wiped away the years I cried
Which way does this angel...

Said I have her, said I had her
Said I want her, just don't need her
When you receive what you crave, you still wont be satisfied
The questions still roll in my mind
Yet I wouldn't leave her for false assumption
Don't want the company of depression
She's the one who answered the call
Lift I to my feet when my knees gave to the fall
And it was just one girl
It was just one girl
To hear I, hear I call

Lyric of the song "sangat menyenangkan" By steven jam

0 komentar
This is one of the new single from steven jam entitled "sangat menyenangkan" This is the lyrics

 Aku terbang dan melayang
Ku temukan rasa yang pernah hilang

Aku dibuat terpana dan nyaris nggak percaya
Ku kembali disini nikmati hari yang pasti
Sekian waktu berlalu benakku nyaris membatu
Dijejali kakunya kehidupanku yang mengganggu hari-hariku

Dan ku syukuri adanya kembali bisa tertawa
Hatiku bahagia begitu nyata kurasa
Kita berdansa bersama diiringi senja
Kita berdendang hingga malam menjelang
Kembali kita bersulang

Ku temukan rasa yang pernah hilang
Dan telah lama tak aku dapatkan
Dan semuanya kini membuatku terbang ku melayang
Ku nikmati rasa yang pernah hilang
Yang sekian lama aku impikan
Dan semuanya kini membuatku tenang
Terasa sangat menyenangkan

 Aku terbang dan melayang
Ku temukan rasa yang pernah hilang
Dan kembali nikmati terang yang menjelang
Lepaskan semua beban.

Lyrics of the song "santeria" By SUBLIME

0 komentar
I don’t practice santeria
I ain’t got no crystal ball.
I had a million dollars but i’d,
I’d spend it all.
If I could find that heina and that sancho that she’s found,
Well I’d pop a cap in sancho and I’d slap her down.

What I really wanna know,
My baby, what I really want to say I can’t define.
Well it’s love,
That I need, oh ,
But my soul will have to,
Wait till I get back and find heina of my own.
Daddy’s gonna love one and all.

I feel the break,
Feel the break,
Feel the break and I got to live it up,
Oh, yea huh, well I swear that i.
What I really wanna know, baby,
What I really want to say I can’t define.
That love make it go,
My soul will have to...

What I really wanna say,
My baby,
What I really wanna say is I’ve got mine.
And I’ll make it, yes, I’m comin’ up.

Tell sanchito that if he knows what is good for him he best go run and hide.
Daddy’s got a new .45.
And I won’t think twice to stick that barrel straight down sancho’s throat.
Believe me when I say that I got somethin for his punk ass.
What I really wanna know, my baby,
What I really wanna say is there’s just one,
Way back,
And I’ll make it, yea,
But my soul will have to wait.
Yea, yea, yea

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.

’Cause – ’cause – ’cause I remember when a we used to sit
In a government yard in Trenchtown,
Oba – obaserving the ’ypocrites – yeah! –
Mingle with the good people we meet, yeah!
Good friends we have, oh, good friends we have lost
Along the way, yeah!
In this great future, you can’t forget your past;
So dry your tears, I seh. Yeah!

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry. Eh, yeah!
A little darlin’, don’t shed no tears:
No, woman, no cry. Eh!

Said – said – said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown, yeah!
And then Georgie would make the fire lights,
I seh, logwood burnin’ through the nights, yeah!
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge, say,
Of which I’ll share with you, yeah!
My feet is my only carriage
And so I’ve got to push on through.
Oh, while I’m gone,
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right, yeah!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right-a!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right, yeah!
Everything’s gonna be all right!

So no, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
I seh, O little – O little darlin’, don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry, eh.

No, woman – no, woman – no, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
One more time I got to say:
O little – little darlin’, please don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry.
